ABOUT
[FULL BIO]
Described by The Philadelphia Welcomat as "somewhere between Springsteen and Steve Earle", Eddie Seville gained a reputation for visceral live shows and gritty songwriting as the voice and creative force behind the outlaw rock band Steel Rodeo. As a solo artist, he’s an engaging raconteur whose raw honesty and tough wisdom leave a trail of grins, winks and nods across listening rooms, theaters and festivals in the US, Europe and Canada.
Drawing from folk, roots and country blues, Eddie’s written for Island, Atlantic and Universal Records with music aired on three US television networks and HBO. His songs have been covered by artists that include the late George Kooymans of the band Golden Earring, who recorded “Blind Love” (Sony Publishing) for a European single and also “Ticket To Heaven” (Red Bullet) for the 2022 Mirage album. Seville’s alt-country torch ballad, “One More Guitar,” launched an ad campaign, a signature model and an acoustic tour of the Netherlands sponsored by the Homestead Guitar Company.
His work spans many projects with veteran rock producer Paul Orofino in addition to writing, recording and touring with Frank Carillo (Peter Frampton / Tim Hardin), Augie Meyers (Texas Tornados / Bob Dylan), Danny Miranda (Queen) and Simon Kirke (Bad Company).
